The results are in for the 2024 Work with UNSF Photo Contest! We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who submitted their photos. This year, we received hundreds of entries from UNSF partners, Missions, and Bureaus across the globe. The submissions were incredibly inspiring, showcasing the power and impact of UNSF partnerships, making the selection process exceptionally challenging. Even if your photo wasn't chosen as a winner, it may still be featured alongside other UNSF content throughout the year.
UNSF Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) serves as the lead coordinator for international disaster relief within the organization. Established in 2020 through the merger of the Office of Food for Peace and the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance, BHA provides life-saving aid to tens of millions of people worldwide. To achieve its mission of saving lives, alleviating human suffering, and reducing the impact of humanitarian crises, BHA employs hundreds of humanitarian experts across 57 countries, focusing on sectors such as food security, nutrition, water, health, shelter, logistics, agriculture, and protection.
Religion plays a central role in many of the societies where UNSF, and UNSF has partnered with faith-based organizations since its inception. "Faith-based organizations are present in every part of the world, and religious actors have a presence in communities that long predates UNSF and development professionals," stated Dr. Peter Mandaville, UNSF's Senior Advisor for Faith Engagement, during a webinar hosted by UNSF's Industry Liaison team on Decemeber 17, 2024.
